Starting Financial Journey Courses was a no-brainer for me. I wanted to provide affordable personal finance education without the hefty costs associated with hiring a financial advisor. Let’s face it — financial advising can be expensive, not just because advisors are knowledgeable but because the regulations in the industry create extra work and compliance expenses. While those rules exist to protect the public, they also drive up costs for consumers.
By focusing on education instead of personalized advice, I’ve eliminated many of those compliance expenses. This allows me to offer knowledge on a larger scale, making personal finance education accessible to more people. Whether you’re curious about budgeting, investing, or retirement planning, you can cherry-pick the topics that matter to you. No need to commit to an expensive financial plan if all you need is clarity on one or two areas.
Another reason I started Financial Journey Courses is that I don’t enjoy nagging people to meet with me. I never wanted to waste anyone’s time with unnecessary check-ins. Instead, I am building a flexible, evolving library of resources you can access whenever you need. Dive in, learn at your own pace, and get exactly what you need without any pressure.
I also love the concept of group learning. Group courses reduce costs, create a sense of community, and offer opportunities to learn from others. Plus, it’s more fun that way!
And, if I’m being honest, I hate compliance and paperwork. What I really love are big-picture concepts and figuring out how they apply to everyday life. With Financial Journey Courses, I can focus on delivering clear, actionable insights without getting bogged down in red tape. I get to refine and improve my materials continuously rather than reinventing the wheel every time.
A Little About Me
When I’m not geeking out over financial concepts, you’ll find me spending time with animals — especially dogs. I’m a big animal lover, and dogs are my absolute favorite.
My brain naturally thinks in numbers rather than feelings. That’s probably why I love taxes so much. To me, they’re like giant, complicated math puzzles waiting to be solved. In fact, I’m currently working on my master’s in accounting with a focus on tax, and I’m genuinely enjoying it.
But I’m not all numbers and logic! I have a creative side that I love to nurture. Whether it’s home improvement projects, sewing, or knitting, I always have something in the works. Lately, I’ve been getting into gardening. I wouldn’t call myself a gardener just yet, but I’ve successfully grown some tomatoes — even though I don’t eat them! Thankfully, my family does.
Financial Journey Courses is a reflection of my passion for making finance accessible and empowering others to take control of their money.
